Xochimilco in the 50s

My dad was about 6 years old in this photo, standing with his mom, Juanita, and his dad, Pedro. They were in Xochimilco in Mexico City, sometime in the late 1950s. My dad was the oldest of eight siblings.

Did you notice my grandpa’s suit? It’s kind of crazy to think about how much more formally people dressed back then compared to now. Even for a family outing IN THE WATER , he was dressed up!
